We realize selling items can be scary and sometimes an overwhelming process. Deciding to sell one item or multiple items can involve numerous decisions. Our team aims to simplify this process and ensure it remains professional by providing a safe, and secure platform to liquidate item/s for you. We research values of your items with the latest information available. We accurately describe your items and take pictures with the clearest cameras on the market to maximize our buyers confidence and knowledge to bid accordingly. Consignment Agreement
Before we can accept items, sellers must complete the consignment agreement. At this time the auctioneer will communicate a commission rate depending on a few factors. i.e. amount, condition, age, or value of an item or items. After completing this document we will begin the process of inventorying, researching, and photographing your items. Key City Auctions offers this transparent document to ensure, explain and protect all items and parties. involved. All Items will be sold as "as-is" condition. All items will start at $5 unless a reserve/starting price is requested and accepted by the Key City Online Auctioneer. Key City Auctions team members have the right to refuse any item determined to have no auction value.
Drop-off's / Pick-up's
Sellers may bring items to our warehouse by making a private appointment or bring it in during our regular business hours. We are located at 400 Harrison St. Bldg. D in Dubuque IA 52003. Our regular hours are Mon-Tues 9am-5pm, Friday noon-6pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm. Items can also be shipped directly to us either from you or a supplier with prior notification. We can also arrange to pick up multiple items or large items locally for a fee as follows. $95 for a truck and one personnel or $150 for a box truck and two personnel.
Estates / Business Liquidation
Your estate is a lifetime of treasures and memories. Why sell at a yard sale or through a marketplace when you can sell to people who will treasure your gifts as much as you did. When you are ready to begin the process of downsizing, settling an estate or liquidating your business. We can come to aid you and/or your family by handling the sale of the liquidateable assets. We simplify the process by visiting your home/business where we can catalog the items onsite and have an online auction with the pickup at your location. Or, we can provide you with the option to catalog, pack, and transport your valuables, ensuring they are auctioned in a private, and professional way. Either way, we will ensure the items get the most exposure by listing the items that may not sell in the first sale for up to three auctions. If items don't sell in the first onsite auction we will transport them to our nearest sale location for the remaining sales to maximize your return. A final itemized statement and proceeds are sent to the named recipient in the mail!
Cleanouts
Our experts and fractional partnerships will expedite your project - Contact us to schedule an appointment to view the property and discuss your needs to allow us to provide you a quote. Our team of service professionals can handle the entire process of sorting sale/auction items from trash, recycle, and donatable items. We can also clean and ready the property for sale if needed. If we find any family treasures or high value items, we will notify you to decide how to proceed. Our team vows to retain the dignity of those who previously occupied the property.
Landlord trash out
Occasionally, it becomes necessary to liquidate items left behind to recover lost income. By visiting the residence to assess and inventory assets with auction value, we can expedite this process. These items will be loaded onto our trucks and prepared for the next auction, ensuring timely results.
